Trade association

Our work with a travel based trade association identified that it was being experienced very differently depending on how its members were having dealings with it. As a trade body it was supportive and helpful. But in its compliance activities it was controlling and domineering. This was also reflected in the differing sub-cultures, reward and control systems and styles of leadership within the divisions of the association. This turned out to be an issue that had not been previously been recognised by management.

Our recommendations and subsequent work as consultants went on to help the association reconcile matters, manage expectations, adapt structures, behaviours, cultures, and systems, and in the process develop more consistent relations with its membership.
